The Swiss luxury watch brand will donate 30% of its net proceeds during this unprecedented time.

SWITZERLAND — MARCH 2020 — The world is facing an unprecedented health challenge with communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, from March 24th through September, Swiss Haute Horlogerie Maison, Gerald Charles, will donate 30% of its net proceeds to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by the World Health Organization (WHO) hosted by the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation and the United Nations Foundation. The fund was recently created by the WHO in Geneva, Switzerland, in response to the coronavirus pandemic currently impacting over one billion people from communities around the world.

“In times such as these, we must come together as a community and respond to the challenge” says Federico Ziviani, General Manager of Gerald Charles “I have personally pushed from the front line to make sure we were giving our contribution, and making it happen promptly” Gerald Charles will donate 30% of every watch net proceeds to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by WHO. The donations will provide financing, at worldwide scale, for protective equipment for frontline health workers; to equip diagnostic laboratories; improve surveillance and data collection; establish and maintain intensive care units; strengthen supply chains; accelerate research and development of vaccines and therapeutics; and take other critical steps to scale up the public health response to the pandemic.
