Mondani Web is so happy to present  “Important Watches Auction ” by Artcurial on January 19th, 2021 in the Hôtel Hermitage, Monte-Carlo.

Artcurial will present an extremely rare Patek Philippe reference 1518 from 1943, one of the most highly sought after models. Vintage Rolex enthusiasts will have the choice between the unmissable Daytona 6264 ‘Paul Newman’ or a ref. 4768 in its steel and rose gold version with full calendar. As for professional watches, two Rolex Submariner ref. 5514 and 16800 delivered to the COMEX in Marseille and coming directly from the original divers, will be sold with their papers, accessories and logbooks.

LOT 30

Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 “Big Arabic”, a 18k yellow gold manual winding chronograph wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phases indication, gold buckle branded. With a setting pin, a Patek Philippe extract from the archives confirming the production of the present watch in 1943 and its subsequent sale on August 4, 1945, a presentation case (modern)
Kept in the family since its purchase by the original owner in 1945.

Rolex Submariner “Comex 822”, ref. 5514 / 5513, a stainless steel diver’s wristwatch, Oyster bracelet with deployant clasp signed, made for COMEX
With : a commemorative medal “10 years of collaboration Groupe COMEX”, the owner’s first professional diver’s booklet (period from 1972 to 1975), “Diver’s Certificate of Competence” dated 04 December 1981, “Rolex” maintenance guarantee dated 31/07/1999 (original), “Rolex” maintenance guarantee dated 07/08/2002 (original)This watch comes directly from its original owner, a diver with COMEX (COmpagnie Maritime d’EXpertises) from 1972 to 1985, with various extra parts including the original crown.

Rolex Submariner “Comex 6077”, ref. 16800, a stainless steel automatic diver’s wristwatch, Oyster bracelet with deployant clasp signed, made for Comex. With : a guarantee of origin “Comex 13.01.89”, a revision bulletin dated 24.04.1995, a presentation case, the original tag numbered “6077 – 7276477”, a red tag, 2 extra links, a Rolex anchor, two Comex combinations, a canvas bag and a zipped bag by Comex, a knife and a torch.
The present watch comes directly from its original owner, diver at COMEX from 1974 until the end of the 1980s.

Estimate: 50,000 – 60,000 €
