HEUER, MONZA, REF. 150.501, circa 1970s.

Heuer was the official teamkeep for the Ferrari team from 1971 to 1979 and Jack Heuer presented the team with these watches to celebrate their victory. Notably, these watches featured a PVD-coated cushion case like those from the 1970s automatic Carreras, black dial with red accents as well as outer pulsometer and tachymeter tracks, and caliber 15 movement.

The name Monza was selected in honor of the famous track in Italy. Heuer at that time was using famous racetrack and race names as the basis for new model names. The Monza has become more well-known recently as TAG Heuer introduced a popular re-edition of the Monza in 2016.
