Rolex watches:

Rolex continue to attract collectors with 3 exceptional lots that represent more than 35% of the total auction result. An amazing Rolex reference 6062 triple calendar in stainless steel realized a record of HK$ 5 800 000 – US$ 740 000 (lot 270 evaluated HK$ 750 000 – 1 580 000). It is indeed an extremely rare model as the reference 6062 was produced from 1950 to 1953 in only 350 examples, in 18K yellow gold, 50 examples in 18K pink gold and very few in stainless steel. Another beautiful Rolex was presented and sold for more than HK$ 1 million (HK$ 1 360 000 – US$ 174 000). It is a reference 6241, a famous ‘Paul Newman’ Daytona that is undeniably a piece of collection, a must-have, for the watches connoisseurs (lot 269 evaluated UK$ 700 000 – 1 000 000). We must also notice the great result of a rare and beautiful reference 6538, ‘James Bond Big Crown’, another very prized Rolex that made HK$ 575 000 – US$ 74 000 (lot 268 evaluated HK$ 156 000 – 312 000).

Watches for ladies:

Rolex was also well represented for these ladies with an outstanding white gold watch totally covered with diamonds and sapphires that, was sold for HK$ 600 000 – US$ 77 000 (lot 89 evaluated HK$ 480 000 – 680 000). Speaking about ladies we must notice an amazing Patek Philippe jewellery set, possibly a unique model of that kind, firstly sold in a Patek Philippe salon in Geneva around 1990s to a Middle East family. This exceptional piece made no fewer than HK$ 887 500 – US$ 113 700 (lot 192 evaluated HK$ 780 000 – 1 200 000). We have also to evoke an elegant and rare Cartier Tank Anglaise reference 3487 in pink gold and diamonds. A splendid ladies watch sold for HK$ 312 500 – US$ 40 000 (lot 188 evaluated HK$ 250 000 – 500 000).

Elegant watches for gentlemen:

A. Lange & Söhne was equally well represented with two beautiful pieces that reached together HK$ 1 400 000 – US$ 180 000 (lot 210 a Cabaret Tourbillon reference 703.025 in platinum evaluated HK$ 650 000 – 1 200 000 and sold for HK$ 962 500 & lot 206 a Zeitwerk reference140.032 in pink gold evaluated HK$ 330 000 – 520 000 and sold for HK$ 437 500.) We must also notice two splendid Patek Philippe perpetual calendar in platinum, a reference 3940 with its certificate sold for HK$ 437 500 – US$ 56 000 (evaluated HK$ 300 000 – 480 000) and a reference 5059 sold for HK$ 412 500 – US$ 53 000 (lot 217 evaluated HK$ 300 000 – 480 000). Finally we have to evoke an extremely fine and rare Girard Perregaux reference 99650 minute repeater in pink gold with a beautiful enamel dial that realized HK$ 500 000 – US$ 64 000 (lot 78 evaluated HK$ 380 000 – 500 000).
