1. What do you mostly look forward to for this seasons Important Timepieces?
I am really looking forward to see the watches go under the hammer and finding new exciting owners and carriers who will appreciate them. It´s an extraordinary collection that has great potential and that has already gained interest from buyers from all around the world.

2. What are potential buyers looking for today?
Customers of today have generally great knowledge for the segment and are looking for watches with high quality movement and specific collector watches. It is also popular to search for watches by less well-known brands because of the great quality of the movement. An example of that is Bukowskis Certina Tachymetre, which has the same movement as Rolex Daytona but with an estimate of 1200 Euro or the Jaquet Droz, Grande Seconde Hommage with an estimate of 10 500 Euro.

3. Do you see any new trends in the autumn’s exciting auction offer?
The interest for watches has branched out and many costumers are looking for more personal watches that have something special. Women have shown greater interest in mechanical watches like Bukowskis Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Day-Date with an estimate of 8 500 Euro. Another trend we see growing is the interest for smaller men’s watches, which Patek Philippe Calatrava with an estimate of 12 500 Euro is a perfect example of.

4. The interest for watches in general and watches of high quality is steadily growing. What do you think it depends on?
The rising interest of investing in good quality watches arises from a deeper awareness and knowledge within the segment. The wristwatch has become a natural part of its carrier’s daily uniform and are truly an accessory that reflects your personality. A vintage watch that has a special provenance and tells a story is highly popular and tells us the importance of circularity within the segment.
?5. Can you tell me more about one of your top numbers Rolex Daytona, what makes it so sought after?
Rolex Daytona is most likely the world’s most famous watch model and the Daytona 6239 is the first reference of a Rolex Daytona, the tachymeter scale is placed on the ring and not on the dial, which makes the watch very special and sought after. We are thrilled to have the watch in the selection for the autumn’s auction.
