LOT 1001

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Ref. 56175BA in 18K yellow gold. Champagne tapissirie dial with diamond-set hour markers. Date aperture at the “3” hour marker. Integrated original bracelet in 18K yellow gold. Dial is in very good condition, with some wear from age. Case is excellent, with minor scratching but nice sharp case lines and bevels. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in very good condition.

Cartier Baignoire, Ref. 0170 in 18K Gold. Antique white dial with printed Roman numerals. Original bracelet in 18K yellow gold. The Cartier Baignoire is one of the original watch designs from the firm, dating to 1912. The style is ingenious, as it is a bold oval, but also curved from the side, giving it a contoured look. Dial is in excellent condition. Case is excellent with minor hairline scratches. Bracelet is tight with minimal stretch. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in excellent condition.

Rolex Cellini, Ref. 20002 in 18K Gold, circa 1969. Matte white dial with printed Roman numerals. Original integrated mesh bracelet in 18K gold. Rolex’s Cellini line was created to specialize in dress watches. Over the years, many interesting variations were produced and collectors have been discovering just how cool these watches are. The present example has that classic integrated bracelet design with a white Roman numeral dial that brings to mind the high style of the late 1960s. Dial is in very good condition, with minor wear at the edges from age. Case is very good, with minor scratches. Case back has signs of polishing. Bracelet is tight and free of kinks. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in very good condition.

Blancpain Air Command Chronograph in Steel, circa 1960’s. Gloss back dial with luminous Arabic numerals. Two chronograph subregisters. Brown ostrich strap. The Blancpain Air Command chronograph was developed in the 1950s as a counterpart to the Fifty Fathoms dive watch. While the Fifty Fathoms was adopted by the US Navy, the Air Command never was, making the series rare. Dial is in excellent condition. Case is excellent, with minor scratches visible under magnification, but no signs of having been polished. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in excellent condition.

Patek Philippe Ellipse, Ref. 3548 in 18K White Gold. Sunburst blue dial with applied hour markers. Integrated mesh bracelet in 18K white gold. Patek Philippe introduced the Ellipse in 1969. The style was based on the “Golden Proportion,” an ancient Greek mathematical proportion that was meant to convey maximum beauty. The present example is in 18K white gold, which is rare. Dial is in good condition, with slight paint loss near the hour markers. Case is very good, with minor scratching. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in very good condition.

Piaget Ladies’ Watch with Nephrite dial Ref. 9330A6, in 18K Gold with Diamonds. Original integrated Florentine finished bracelet in 18K yellow gold. Piaget is a legendary maker of luxury dress watches. They made their own movements and the present example has the celebrated Calibre 4P. It also has a gorgeous green nephrite dial and a lovely integrated bracelet, representing the spirit of luxury, 1970s-style. Dial is in excellent condition. Case is excellent, with minor scratches. Bracelet is tight, with virtually no stretch. Movement is running at time of cataloging. Overall, the present example is in excellent.
