LOT 1001

Cartier Ballon Bleu in Stainless Steel with round-cut diamonds (aftermarket), Opaline silver dial with guilloche in center, printed Roman numerals. The Cartier Ballon Bleu turned the watch world on its head when it was introduced in 2002. The discus-shaped watch with the interesting crown placement and guilloche dial became a best seller and is a staple of Cartier’s lineup. The present example is 36 mm, making it a perfect size for a man or a woman. Accompanied by a Cartier box, instruction manual and papers.

Cartier Ladies Tank Anglaise in Stainless Steel, Silver Dial with Roman numerals and guilloche detailing in center. One of the newer iterations of the classic Cartier Tank, The Anglaise rounds the lines a bit, while adding a thumbwheel setting crown that is whimsical and easy to use. The bracelet is nicely integrated and complements this sporty edition of a classic watch line.

Chopard by DeGrisogono Ice Cube Ladies Watch in 18K Gold, Factory Dial diamond pave. Chopard’s Ice Cube series of jewelry and watches was introduced in the early 2000s. The cubist design was a departure from the traditional rounded designs in the Happy series. The present example is the top of the line of the Ice Cube series, with a fully articulated bracelet that matches the design of the watch, all in 18K gold with a diamond pave dial that was set by DeGrisogono.

Piaget Polo Ref. 24001 in 18K Gold, White Dial with applied hour markers and printed Roman numerals. Date aperture at the “3” hour marker. The Piaget Polo was one of the most iconic watches of the 1980s. The second series arrived in the early 1990s to much fanfare. An elegant case with a stepped bezel, dressy white dial and matching bracelet gave the watch a great deal of wrist appeal.

Audemars Piguet Ref. 819 in 18K White Gold, Original matte black dial with diamond hour markers and hands. The 819 is one such model. Powered by a hand winding movement, its a classic ultra-thin watch in white gold with lovely factory-set diamonds on the dial and hands. The case and integrated bracelet feature an attractive herringbone pattern.

Rolex Submariner Ref. 16610 in Stainless Steel, Gloss black with white printing. Applied lume-filled hour markers. Date aperture at the “3” hour marker. The Rolex Submariner is one of the most well-known and desired watches on the planet. Ever since the modern ceramic-bezel Sub came on the market, the collector value of the previous generation has been rising. The classic case design, with tapered and chamfered lugs and the lug holes are present on this piece, tying it into the style of the classic models. The present example is a true investment grade example, in unpolished condition.
